Silent Hill is another franchise that has made the jump from very successful games to a film series. So far there has been 9 games (from 1999-2012) which have received both positive and negative reviews and only 2 films, Silent Hill (2006) and Silent Hill Revelation 3D (2012). Like the Resident Evil films they did well enough at the box office but received poor critic scores.

Rotten Tomatoes: 29/100
Silent Hill Revelation 3D:
Budget: $20 million
Box Office: $52 million
Metacritic: 15/100
Rotten Tomatoes: 5/100
In terms of the games, Silent Hill 1-4 was well received with 5 onwards getting mixed reviews from both critics and fans.
